Refuse to be a hermit crab

Finally, our mortgage got approved!! It has been more than a year since we started planning our dream renovation. We went through several architects, troubles, new learning about renovation mortgage loop holes. Yes, we can do it!

We bought this house 13 years ago with just two of us. Then two little wonders came along to join our family. With two girls, 10 and 4, with homeschooling, and cello/bass playing all held under the same roof, we felt something was not right. Is it the size? is it the floor plan? Is it the location?

Then we started looking at other houses within our affordability in our nearby neighborhood for about two years. Are we too picky? too crazy? 'Cause we don't feel we need lots more square footage, but a better design within a reasonable space. We looked, compared all the pros and cons. The solution finally emerged-- Renovate!
